ABOUT US

Culpeper Felines & Friends is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals in Culpeper County, and finding permanent and loving homes for the felines in our care. We provide a safe haven for animals in transition through a network of foster homes, and serve as advocates for homeless and helpless felines in our community.

In 2012 CF&F found homes for over 400 cats. We are set to increase that number significantly in 2013. As of the end of October we are closing in on 500 adoptions. All of these cats were spay/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.

Jordan

Jordan - 7 months old orange tabby neutered male.

Meet Jordan, he's got looks and personality all rolled up into a small compact package. He's a "little kitty" everything is proportionate, just smaller . Fabulous oragne tabby markings and he's about 7 months old. Jordan and his family were living at a commercial greenhouse before coming to us. Jordan was the first to decide people were great. He loves attention and is learning how nice it is to live in a home. Jordan loves to play, and thinks everyone and everythings like to play like him. He loves other cats. Jordan is a diamond in the rough. He is probably not suited for children at this point due to his thinking that everyone is a playtoy. Did you know that CF&F has the Robert Counts Emergency Fund to provide Veterinary assistance to cats and dogs when their owners cannot pay. In just the last two months, we have assisted 5 families. In one case, the dog was going to be euthanized because the owners couldn't afford the cost of care. Working with our partner, Culpeper Animal Hospital, we say YES, when everyone else has said NO. At an average cost of $200 per animal our fund is shrinking fast. Please help! Donate securely through our Paypal account.

With kitten season in full bloom, CF&F has an immediate need for foster homes. Raising a litter of kittens can be a wonderful opportunity for children to learn about pet care and compassion for animals...not too mention it is just so much fun! If kittens aren't for you, please consider providing a temporary home to a shy feline needing attention and love. These cats need an opportunity to be socialized and gain or regain trust...could you be that person? These assignments are short in duration, typically a few weeks is all it takes to give these felines the social skills they need to find a permanent loving home.
