ABOUT US

Culpeper Felines & Friends is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals in Culpeper County, and finding permanent and loving homes for the felines in our care. We provide a safe haven for animals in transition through a network of foster homes, and serve as advocates for homeless and helpless felines in our community.

In 2012 CF&F found homes for over 400 cats. We are set to increase that number significantly in 2013. As of the end of October we are closing in on 500 adoptions. All of these cats were spay/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.

Paul

Paul was a little guy when he was found as a stray on the streets of Culpeper at just 3 months old. He grew up in a loving foster home and is currently the ripe old age old 5 months. He is a beautiful buff color with light tabby stripes on his coat.

Paul is very shy and timid when you first meet him but he is a lovable kinda guy. He loves affection and will often seek you out for it. He will sit on your lap and purr as you pet him. He is very sweet.

Paul's purrfect home would be a quiet home with no children or with children over the age of 10 years old. He gets along with other cats and cat friendly dogs. Paul is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, combo tested, and microchipped.

Did you know that CF&F has the Robert Counts Emergency Fund to provide Veterinary assistance to cats and dogs when their owners cannot pay. In just the last two months, we have assisted 5 families. In one case, the dog was going to be euthanized because the owners couldn't afford the cost of care. Working with our partner, Culpeper Animal Hospital, we say YES, when everyone else has said NO. At an average cost of $200 per animal our fund is shrinking fast. Please help! Donate securely through our Paypal account.

With kitten season in full bloom, CF&F has an immediate need for foster homes. Raising a litter of kittens can be a wonderful opportunity for children to learn about pet care and compassion for animals...not too mention it is just so much fun! If kittens aren't for you, please consider providing a temporary home to a shy feline needing attention and love. These cats need an opportunity to be socialized and gain or regain trust...could you be that person? These assignments are short in duration, typically a few weeks is all it takes to give these felines the social skills they need to find a permanent loving home.
